Angry Launch Guard

Check everything
before you hand over the site.

Search engines still discouraged, WooCommerce in coming-soon mode, a public debug.log, store emails sent from wordpress@. Angry Launch Guard runs 41 launch checks in one go and gives you a clear verdict: Ready, Warning or Not ready.

// WHY IT MATTERS

Launch-day mistakes are the ones clients remember.

It happens to every agency: a site goes live and nobody unticked “Discourage search engines”. Or the store is still in coming-soon mode, a payment gateway is still in test mode, and the admin account still uses the agency’s email.

None of these are hard to fix. They are just easy to forget, and the client is always the first to notice.

“Before you hand over the site, check everything.”

Visible to search engines

Search visibility, robots.txt, permalinks and leftover staging domains.

Secure from day one

No “admin” user, no debug output, no public debug.log, no file editor.

Emails that arrive

Send a test email and check that store emails come from the right address.

A store ready to sell

Coming-soon mode, store pages, gateways in test mode, address and currency.

// SAFE BY DESIGN

It checks everything. It changes nothing on its own.

Angry Launch Guard only reads your site until you press a Fix button, and every fix shows exactly what it will change before it does.

Nothing without a click

Nothing changes unless you press Fix, and each fix shows what it will change first.

No file edits

wp-config.php and .htaccess are never edited. The only file it can delete is debug.log, after confirmation.

Hardening is opt-in

Disabling XML-RPC and hiding the users REST endpoint are off by default and removed on deactivation.

No external services

It only makes requests to your own site. No tracking.

// FAQ

Good questions.

Does it change my site automatically?

No. It only reads until you press a Fix button, and every fix shows exactly what it will change first.

What does “Ignore (intentional)” do?

Some things are deliberate, for example comments turned off. Mark the check as intentional with a note: it is greyed out and no longer affects the verdict.

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. The WooCommerce checks only run when WooCommerce is active.

Can I send the report to my client?

Yes. Copy it as Markdown for an email or a ticket, or open the print view.

Does it send any data?

No. It only makes requests to your own site.

Launch with nothing left to chance.
